So the music was good, the photobooth was a hit, lighting was nice but I didnt enjoy my party.. at all. Most stressful evening ever.
First , I went to pay him before the party started and took out a check. I was told that per the contract I needed to give him cash. No contract was ever sent to me or signed by me. All our confirmations were via text. I ended up missing dinner, not getting food , and having to leave my own party to get cash. And finding a place on a Friday night where I can take that much out was not easy. That was strike 1
So once I came back from running around I gave him his cash, counted it out on the table in front of three other people sitting with me. They saw what I was gave him. When I realized I had overpaid him per our text confirmation he denied me giving him an extra hundred. So now I did this extra work to give you cash and you werent even honest enough to admit I gave you extra. My blood pressure was already high at this point from running around and feeling like I overpaid. But If that can sit on your conscience..so be it. Strike 2 Prior to my party I asked for 2 uplights in the foyer for my red carpet area. Was told with my package I had more than enough light to accommodate putting 2 aside. He explained to me that they were 800 dollar lights but he could do it , as long as I made sure nothing happened to the lights..I had the area blocked off with stanchions but..Never happened.
Then at the end of the night he comes up to me to tell me he needs more time to pack up. The facility told me it takes 30 minutes for djs to pack up. All the communication for the event prior to the party was me reaching out to him. I sent a full timeline spreadsheet and if there were any discrepancies this could have been said that you need an hour to shut down but to drop it on me during the party was the final blow. Even the facility said he was unresponsive in getting back to them Prior to the event. Alot was dropped on me during the party that easily could have been communicated...very unprofessional...Never again
