We were hesitant to have to put our mother in a memory care facility during a pandemic, as we knew we would not be able to visit. But let me tell you, the staff at Fieldstone soon took our worries away. They work hard at making the residents feel safe and secure. There are so many activities to keep their bodies and minds busy. And the food! I look at the menu and wish I were eating there! Even though safety precautions are taken very seriously, I love that the staff think outside the box. For example, at Christmastime, they let several small business vendors leave their goods at the facility. The residents could then shop, and purchase items for their families with their own money. They were also provided wrapping paper so they could wrap the gifts as well. One of the deciding factors of choosing Fieldstone, was the size. We wanted a smaller facility, with hopes of having a cozy, community feeling. Also, to have everything on one level with no elevators to have to worry about, is a plus. The “Town center” is an added bonus. It consists of a hair salon/barbershop, theater, and 50’s style soda shop. I highly recommend Fieldstone. They have some very qualified and compassionate staff. Looking forward to the day we can go in and visit with everyone!
