The charging station is consistently accessible whenever I require charging. Throughout my several years of electric car ownership, I have not encountered any problems with this station.
However, it is more expensive compared to the ChargePoint charger at Kohl's, as the pricing is based on time rather than the actual kilowatt-hours (kWh) consumed. It would be preferable if the company reconsidered this approach and charged based on the actual kWh used, aligning with industry standards.
I do appreciate the location of the charger, I can get us some food and have a picnic at the park then have the kids play on the toys all while the car is being charged. The one on the left is only 7kw so while it’s not a trickle charger it is also not a quick charger either so expect to be there for a few hours to get some range back. Which also means someone may be already using the charger when you get there. The other charger on the right is a fast charger with two different handles and connections so no matter what car you have, you’ll be able to charge here. Now the cons, this company was bought out by Shell! So the QR code on the charger is useless, it took me 15 minutes to find the correct app, make an account, add a payment method & add money to my account. This was just unnecessary, I wish I could just tap to pay and begin charging. The other issue is the locking pin was broken so I was getting a bad connection when using the Tesla adapter not my model Y, so every time I tried to plug everything up snug without the locking tab the car would get a 5 second charge then stop and I had to repeat the whole process starting from the app to initiate the charge 🤦♂️
