Right now with my husband's health the way it is, I will have to leave this at a two star until we actually hear from someone. We went to see City of Hope, as Kaiser Permanente members, hoping they could help us get a referral so they could tend my husband's CLL, (for those who don't know, it is Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia). The receptionist handed us a small paper with an 800 type number to call to request an appointment after we received the referral from Kaiser. Welcome to the 7th circle of hell......... We got put on hold forever by an electronic voice, never a live voice, EVER. It felt like a brush-off. Reading the reviews here compelled me to write this. City of Hope has always sounded very encouraging to me; now that we need them, I hope they will treat my husband as good as I have read in the 5 star reviews. I truly hope.

I met with Dr Donin for urinary tract problems. He was very compassionate and patiently listened to my long health history issues. He ordered several texts to evaluate things that they did right there in their office in a relatively short period of time.The staff and nurses doing the procedures were very kind and compassionate as well. I see him this coming week for a follow up visit.

I have used City of Hope twice. Both times I have dealt with Dr. Nien and i think he is wonderful. I have been treated very well by the staff, except when making an appointment. I called twice today, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, and I was told that someone would contact me for an appointment. It is now after 7:30 PM and no one has contacted me. I had surgery and can not drive myself to the appointment. My driver is coming from out of town so not being able to get an appointment made causes difficulties. Other than this problem I have had a good experience with the doctors and staff at City of Hope Antelope Valley.
