They have detected lead in many of their sites. The levels are below the legal standard but there is a debate on whether there is a "healthy" amount of lead. Dont take chances with lead poisoning, its effects last a life time. Breast feed your babies and keep them off formula, lead intake for infants occurs most commonly through formula feeding (if your water source contains lead). View their water quality report if you would like to inform yourself but do be aware of the effects of lead on your children as well. You might want to buy water filters to fix that. Or the City of Yakima should shoot for NO lead their water.

Always had my bill current till about 10 month ago, due to me having a mental breakdown from constantly working since covid started and was being over worked and under paid. I had to stop working for about 9 months, so I could get myself back on track. Fast forward to now. Our water got shut off due to non payment. We went in there with 300. Told them we can put that down and make weekly payments of 100 dollars until we were caught up. They refused our payments, and on top of everything they are still actively charging us for services that we are not using!!! We have no running water or anything. And our bill went from us needing only 800 to now 1000 dollars and that was over a month ago! They want us to pay the bill but refuse to work with me on payments because we owe a bill!!! It makes no sense on the fact I was always current before and never fell behind. To me having medical issues and not being capable of taking care of things , I don’t see why they are refusing to help me, when it wasn’t an issue till I had major medical issues!!!! Do better ppl. It’s not that I refuse to pay!!!! It’s they refuse to help the community
