What a find! Driving around Ballard and saw the sign for City Trees. After discussing what 'the plan' was with the owner, I was shown several finished slabs that (a) were exactly what I was looking for, and (b) within the budget (even after taking into account some custom legs). I was worried I was going to have to purchase from a box store, or order something blindly off the internet -- thanks City Trees, I'll be back!

My wife and I stopped by one day after seeing the signs for live edge funiture. We explained what we were looking for because we had specific dimensions and interest. Without hesitation Donald pulled out one unfinsihed grey board. He scraped off a bit of the grey to show us the beautifl rich color of the piece. It was exactly what we were looking for. A short time later we had our kitchen table, it is more than than a dinning table. It is a center piece as you walk into our home and without exception when someone comes in for the first time they stop and point out the table and comment on how beautiful it is. We absolutely love the work.

We recently purchased a live edge dining table from City Tree Furniture. We found Donald Smith's place a couple years back when we first considered a live edge table and started looking at various options around the area. Once we were ready it was an easy choice to go back to City Tree and shop in earnest. The table we chose was a bit too long for our needs and had interesting detail at both ends that we didn’t want to lose. Don was happy to trim a little from each end to achieve the exact length we needed without losing any of its essential character. He also delivered and set up the table in an expeditious and friendly manor. His handiwork is not inexpensive but his craftsmanship is well worth it.
