So, somewhere out there is a review by someone I presume is transgender, who detailed a very negative experience here. I went last weekend, you know, for the lulz, and found the opposite.
It’s important to consider I’m like, 6’3” in flats, and “built like a linebacker”, as someone once told me…pretty sure everyone knows I’m trans. Granted, I didn’t go looking to meet anyone, so not being approached wasn’t a source of disappointment. However, the few people I casually spoke to - at the bar, asking to borrow a seat, whatever - were very polite and engaging. In my experience, the values espoused by management and staff generally match those of the people frequenting any establishment. Again, I did not go here thinking I would meet anyone, and I am not trying to diminish anyone’s negative experiences. I’m just saying, everybody was nice to me.
I have been looking forward to coming here on a newbie night for 2 years. We were finally able to get the time off to come from the coast and were very excited…I even got us bottle service! I’ve never been more disappointed. This was NOT a “newbie” night. Everyone there, except for 2-3 other couples that we saw getting the tour. EVERYONE there had been there before and already knew everyone there. It was by far the most cliquey place and there was no real opportunity for ice breakers. I even resorted to asking the bartender how we’re supposed to meet people because we’re NEW on NEWBIE night! Didn’t get a helpful response. I thought the VIP table service would help, but nobody cared. Felt like nobody wanted anything to do with us. Spent 400 dollars to be sad and feel unattractive.
EDIT AS A RESPONSE: We were never told about “ambassadors” or anything like that. The staff basically just told us to let them know if we needed anything like more lube or condoms….nothing about helping to socialize. That would have been a huge help. We live on the coast and don’t get over the mountain very often. Also, funny that all these “newbies” already knew a ton of people there. 🤔 I guess that was just a coincidence!🙄
