I had my first baby in October 2023 and had the lovely experience of choosing Sarah Kohal as my midwife. I spoke with many moms in the area and after doing my own research and speaking with Sarah (on her day off and she was out of town spending the day with her family), I felt an instant connection and knew she would be the right fit for me and my babies care. From the first appointment to my last I felt heard, supported and reassured with every questions or concern that I brought up. Each appointment wasn’t rushed and she took the time to listen to me and even address my husband’s concerns and asked him what she could do to support him during the pregnancy.
Fast forward to October.. my water broke at midnight and I labored at home until I went into the hospital around 7am. Sarah came in to check on me shortly after and stayed nearly the entire time (left twice briefly to check on other pts and call the office). With each triumph of labor she encouraged me that I was doing so well and coached me through to help me welcome our baby earth side!
The next day she came in and checked in all 3 of us to see how we were doing, offered support, answered questions and loved on us as if we were family. I cannot rave enough about my experience with her and will be going back to her with our future babies.
