Needed to get a faucet replaced for my elderly mothers house. Called Collins Plumbing to inquire for estimate. Took 2 days to get through to someone, but the estimate was the best price so I decided to go forward with the appointment. The plumber was not only two hours late, but incredibly unprofessional. Something just seemed..."off". He asked several personal, bizarre questions unrelated to plumbing. More importantly, he made my mother feel very uneasy. It was a simple install and was completed same day. However, a week later my mothers house was broken into and burglarized and it has devastated us. The sheriff's office detective that responded said that often times it is handymen or their associates that are casing houses to come back later and burglarize. Collins plumbing is the only "help" we have had around here- and combined with the uneasy, almost scary vibe we received from the plumber that completed our work... I would not be surprised to find out that they or an associate of theirs had something to do with my mothers house being burglarized.
If you are an elderly person or someone that might be perceived as "vulnerable", I would proceed with caution and be very careful if hiring this company. There sure are a lot of better options, and sometimes the cheapest doesnt always mean they are the best... think twice before having someone like this into your home, and as always - stay vigilant. I would hate for someone else to experience what my poor mother has been put through.
