Liked this campground a lot! Was a quiet place to enjoy nature, wish we would have had a chance to have a campfire but not in the cards this year. We saw a bear on the thunder creek trail and that was a treat. Everyone we encountered during our camping was nice and respectful of the campground which always makes it more enjoyable.

Very beautiful place! It does get super busy on holiday weekends and if you're camping there you could get a lot of people walking around your site. We love camping there though and have done it twice now.

We camp here every year and there is always a lot of activity for the whole family. Kids love to swim in Diablo Lake, I usually hike along the river. If we get bored we drive several miles towards the dam and hike together . My recommendation is to book a spot early in the year. This is a very popular campground and I’ve seen people not being able finding a spot without reservation.
