Fairly disappointed in the staff… is this a sign of the times? Complete lack of understanding about hospitality and the making of your guests feel welcome and appreciated. There was a fire on the highway and instead of being calm and assuring guests that all is good and info shared as they got it, the young staff shut down the bar and restaurant way after the fire was extinguished and ran round the hotel, apparently looking for flashlights. We found a local restaurant that restored our faith that the town is actually lovely and a tourist gem. Breakfast was a Sysco affair and absolutely no apologies for the terrible experience the night before when we checked out. Sad as the location is incredible and the hotel has been adequately restored and is clean and comfy.

Staff was awesome!!! Beautiful views, great food and drink! I don't think i've ever had service as excellent as at the columbia gorge hotel. The grounds were amazing and the waterfall was incredible. View of the river was really good. Would definitely recommend!

It sure would be nice if you had a secure bike parking area other than the front entrance. The grounds are beautiful. I wish the light fixtures in the lobby and bar were more old fashioned and it had a big chandelier instead of that weird light. Thanks
