Substandard experience. First off, we understood this hotel is under renovation and accepted this going in.

My rating is based on the service. I reserved a suite, with a balcony w/river view. What I got was a ground floor room with an obscured view of the pool area. I brought this to the attention of desk clerk, who than declared herself as the General Manager. She stated she called me. We reviewed my call log on my phone and no such call came in. She then indicated she discounted the room. In truth, she changed the rate to the actual rate of the room we were in. No REAL discount. I have a multiple decades-long relationship with this hotel. Including my mother working at the restaurant and ultimately hosting her memorial there.

The rates where high when compared with other locations in the area and the amenities including the "Bag Breakfast" where poor. I am saddened by my experience and will not be returning.

On the upside, the room had a brand-new bed, with a nice mattress.
