This is the site of a camera monitored parking lot which allows access to four trails, Biddle lake and East Biddle lake. They are all short but absolutely picturesque and fun to traverse. The two trails around the lakes, as well as Trillium trail and the other dirt trail on the west side of the parking lot are not ADA friendly or traversible if you have mobility issues. There are jutting tree roots and fallen sticks, cones and leaf litter on the trails as well. So stepping carefully is important.
There is a fish hatchery, volunteers on hand in the classroom on Saturday and plenty of informational signs. There are two buildings on the property which appear to have once been homes but are now admin buildings.
Leashed, behaved dogs with respectful, dooky wrangling humans are allowed on the narrow paths. There is a box with dooky bags on the east end of the parking lot and a trash just past the round pools outside the classroom.
This spot also allows access to the Evergreen Blvd "trail", which runs along the sidewalk. There are two trees on the north side of the street with signage marking them as saved by locals when the city wanted to tear them down.
There is no fee to park. I highly recommend you check this small cluster of trails and local fish hatchery.
The fish hatchery and plant nursery are educational but it’s not a good place for real hiking. Short trails and very close to a freeway overpass which makes it noisy.
Paved free parking. Dog friendly on leash. No restroom.
