Made an appointment online because after multiple phone calls through Costco Torrance phone, I wasn’t able.
Arrived on time to my appointment 10:45am for 11am appointment. Waiting in line to be checked in. About 10 mins later I am helped. Only one person at the front desk (friendly) but he has to handle phone calls and get your tires ready from their storage (no one else assisting him). He tells me it should take about 1-1.5 hours for my car to be ready. It’s 11:05am approx by the time I am at my car placing their sign to be serviced. I am green car #2. It is 12:20pm and my car is not ready. I approach and tell the technicians working that I had an 11am appointment and my car is not ready. His answer is “with appointment, it takes us 1:45-2hours wait time but in about 10 more mins we will have your car ready.” He was kind enoug to let me load my groceries. However, this is not the service time I expected from Costco. The reviews I now read online match the service I experience from Costco today. It is 12:45pmmy car is now ready. Total 2 hours from check in until out of the door.
Price of the tires was awesome. Staff was friendly but I do agree with many of the reviewers that Costco’s Tire manager needs to better oversee the employees’ performance/time because it is true other places handle the tire replacement/balancing and all that faster for sure.
Testing my tires now. My car is driving steady and feels solid. Tires are making a difference. Great job!!!
Was it worth the wait? It was. I ordered my tires online on 8/10/20 for store delivery and made my appointment online the same day for 8/21/20. Will I bring my car to be serviced again at Costco Torrance? Yes I will if the time to complete the job from check in takes 2 hours or less. I just hope management hears the reviews and does a much better job to expedite service so you have more happy customers.
