Would give zero stars if I could.
The customer service of the Optometrist was horrible (Emily Nguyen, OD). Was asked to walk into her office and that was the extent of her customer service. Felt rushed and bothered to answer any questions I had about my prescription. She seemed annoyed when I had asked which one was for my astigmatism as there were 2 prescriptions on the screen- 1 near sighted, 1 astigmatism. During the exam I was asked to look straight for a long period of time- into a blinding light. I kept blinking and at a point my eyes were hurting and I was straining to keep my eyes open to continue starring where she had told me to. When she switched eyes, she immediately said I could look off to the side by her ear. Why didn't she mention anything during that first eye? If I could have the whole time I wouldn't have to have gone through that- and she made no mention during the long exam and could tell my eye was twitching and straining from hurting my eyes.
I had went in for colored contacts and had asked for sample colors before ordering boxes, and waited 50 minutes as two patients went in and out of her office and her on her break. While she as gone, the admin let me choose the colors and had the handful of them on the table waiting. When the Optometrist came back- the admin (who was nice) went in and spoke with the her. After waiting almost an hour she came out holding them in her hand and told me Dr. Walker said they have a policy of 2- and since during my REQUIRED fitting they said there were two in my eyes they could not give me any at all. I was shocked and had to practically beg for the 1 brown to try.
I'm not sure which part was worse: the annoyed Optometrist who couldn't be bothered or the arbitrary 2-contact policy. This was a horrible Costco experience. I've been to the Shoreline Costco for 14 years. They always have friendly employees- both at the Optical as well as inside at the Optometrist. They had given me 7 to try previously before when I was there. Mind you- these are color lenses that cannot be abused as they don't even have a prescription, and no one would even walk around wearing one blue lens anyway.
I'm horrified at the customer experience at the Lynnwood Vision Center inside this Costco location. After going to the Shoreline Costco and Seattle Costco with great customer experience for over 14 years, I'm shocked and will never be going back to the Lynnwood Costco Optometrist location. I've never had such a bad experience at a doctor's office OR Costco. Go elsewhere if you want to be treated decently as a customer.
