I called two weeks ago to make an appointment for my daughter, who is suffering from depression. I was told the earliest appointment available was in two weeks, so I scheduled the appointment. The day of the appointment, I filled out all the paperwork, which took about 30 minutes, provided my credit card information and insurance information. I called the office at 8:30am and let the receptionist know that I turned in the paperwork and that I did not realize it had to be turned in 48 hours prior to the appointment and asked if we needed to reschedule. The receptionist was nice and told me not to worry, that my daughter still had her appointment and that because it was a later appointment, that the therapist had plenty of time to review her paperwork.
I then received an email at about 11am stating "I'm so sorry but the provider has reached out to me to reschedule with another provider because she is unable to take on new clients at this time, unfortunately we don't have anyone taking on new clients at this time but I can add her to our waitlist if needed. I'm so sorry for the last minute cancelation."
This is not okay - I am seriously worried for my daughter. Had I known 2 weeks ago that new patients were not being accepted, I would have continued my search for someone who can help us. I only gave 2 stars because the receptionist was nice, however, I am terribly disappointed in the service received. Also, what if I had not checked my email, no one even called me to tell me the appointment was canceled....
