I found Country Catapiller through a Google search for local daycares as we are new to the area. My son was at another local provider that was “play based” and I felt he needed more structure and possibly more 1 on 1 attention. During the first two weeks it was clear to me that Eva was in over her head. There are children from infant to elementary and she doesn’t have any other employees. My son is 3 and very busy, he is all boy! But on more than one occasion I witnessed her walking the children for drop off at the local elementary and the children were all over! Definitely not safe and 100% questionable plan with a daycare during rainy or snowy weather. I could tell she was very overwhelmed . The wide range in ages provides for different schedules and need for stimulation. I wish Eva the best but would highly encourage her to focus on a specific age group. If you look to put your child here, I would find out about the walks to and from the local elementary, procedures and also the schedule of the other children. Not all 3-4 year olds will comply with an infant schedule which is why daycares separate ages. Otherwise my son loved his friends and was always greeted with a huge hugs from them on drop off and pick up, always seemed happy and well fed. Just wasn’t a good fit for us. Receiving texts threatening to kick my son out is extremely unprofessional in my eyes. Like I said before- my son is a handful- I am not the kind of parent who believes all kids deserve a trophy. But there needs to be procedures and accountability for the chaos.
