It was hard enough being pregnant, moving, and being stuck on bed rest. It seems as if they took advantage of my not being able to be there every day. My horse was VERY healthy when first brought here. I warned them he was the low end of the pecking order and to please watch that he doesn't get beaten up. At the end of one month, he had lost a ton of weight, had bite and kick marks all over his neck and hind quarters, and was eating feces because he was so malnourished. They didn't even take responsibility for not listening to me. It was that the horses were "playing". Anyone who knows anything about horses, knows when a horse can't eat, be apart of the herd, and comes in bleeding - is not a type of "play". Their turn out is too small, and their hay (at least what they were feeding my horse) was terrible. All they have is sharp gravel for the main barn, as well - his hooves were horrendously bruised and broken.
I was very disappointed with this place. Think twice before putting an animal in their care. If they had just owned up and tried to change, I would have had more respect for them. Think twice, go visit, but beware.
