The Court of Mysteries is the work of two stone masons who only worked on the project during the nights of 1934. Some believe this was due to esoteric reasons, others believe that the brother duo who built the court simply did so at night to avoid being caught building without a permit. Either way, the property was recently purchased by a San Fancisco real estate couple who plans to make it into a seasonal Halloween attraction. This is a nice little stop to say you did, but keep in mind this is private property in a residental neighborhood. You will only be able to look from the street. If you're a road triper, fan of obsure California lore, or even an aspiring mason; this is is a fun 5 minute stop.

I grew up down the street from this building. My brother and I used to go inside and hangout in the early 80's. Can not believe a family is living there now.

It's a private residence, not a museum. There's nothing to see other than what's visible from in front of a high walled concrete fence.
