I called them at about 9 am on Aug.15 in the morning for repairing my bathroom ceiling leaking. I got a call back at 10:39 and said that technician was on the way to my apartment. At 11:31, technician showed up and started working on my ceiling. He left my building at 13:10. Everything went well until I got the invoice(#336568) on Aug.16. The service hours are 3.5 hours. I called them today (Aug.19) and asked them to elaborate on how they calculated the service hours. I was told by a lady that she was having an Internet and remote accessing database problems and would call me back later. 3 hours later, I got a call from there headquarter in Vancouver and was told that they reviewed GPS information on the truck and decided to deduct 1.5 hours for my invoice. Until now, no body said sorry to me and even more no body answered my question: HOW DID YOU CALCULATE THE 3.5 INVOICE SERVICE HOURS?
SHAME ON YOU GUYS!
You had known that the truck has GPS information and intended to add more service hours to my invoice!!!
I have reported to my Strata Council to stop doing any business with Mavco Penticton from now on.
We had a clogged kitchen sink and called for help. Left a message and someone returned our call within 30min. Mat was able to come out the next morning and he cleaned out our drain promptly. He was very professional and friendly and I would certainly recommend Mavco based on this experience.
UPDATE: I was super disappointed to learn that after such a good in person experience, I was then charged for 1.25 hours, which was 45 min longer than the time he spent in the house. I was told that it included the time required to source parts from a supplier when all he did was go out to his van to get the item and install it. I did notice at the time that he did sit in his van for about 20min after he'd finished the job and said goodbye. I guess I paid for that time.
There was no reply to my concerned email about this over charge. After a good start, it turned out to be disappointing customer service and more than double the price it should have been.
I will not return to Mavco.
