I’ve been working with Jenny since 2016. It was difficult finding a company to scale with me.
My old bookkeeper just could not keep up with the amount of work and organization needed.
Working with an agency was the right choice.
Otto is a great numbers guy and Jenny is a very warm and caring accountant who likes things to be 100%. They’ve got a great team.
To add context - I am a small fitness business owner, who is entirely overwhelmed with the tax side of running a business out of your home. It is a nightmare trying to understand this stuff - and all I was looking for was some guidance, and in hope to hire this person to do my taxes and help me out. My money is just as good as the big timers, and I never asked for a handout. I am also only reviewing an experience with accountant Otto Chase, which may poorly reflect on the other half of the firm.
If you check out the website for this company, you see a very inviting page, offering a free consultation and claiming to be a full service accounting firm.
Upon requesting an appointment via contact form online, the only thing I received in response was, "Hello John. No thanks. Otto. "
I responded by explaining that I was told I would get a free consultation, and asked if "No thanks," was really all he had for me - or if he could simply point me in the right direction. I even explained that I understand his time is valuable. To this, Otto responded, "That's all I got. Thank you for your time. Otto."
So you you Otto - I say thank you for introducing me to he world of CPA's. I can only hope that there are some people out there that are willing to fulfill their commitment (a free consultation) to their potential customers, and actually care about the small guy trying to become the big guy, and then we all earn more together.
I wish you nothing but good fortune, Otto, but I hope it doesn't have to come by making smaller businesses feel like they have nowhere to turn when speaking a foreign language (accounting/taxes).
