It's an older motel. But it is also the only motel. The staff is incredibly friendly. The views are great. There isn't much within walking distance except the IGA which happens to be right next door. We went to visit my brother and the ice caves.

If you were filming a movie and you needed a hotel room that depicted despair, this is the place.|Uncovered mattress with filthy, stained box springs? Check!|Long black hair on pillow and in gooey bathroom corners? Check!|Cracked, yellowed lampshades?|Check?|Cracked walls with patches of paint missing? Check!||Clearly someone does make attempts to clean, but there is a level of filth from never being updated that cannot be overcome by bleach.|It appears that whomever owns this place is just riding it into the ground, not reinvesting a penny into maintaining or restoring the hotel. |The two stars are for the cleaner, the semi-friendly front desk, the murals on the walls/headboards and that it had a roof.

We made reservations to stay here a while back and once we got there we checked in, and then went to grab something to eat real quick. Once we started looking at the room the carpets were nasty, walls dirty and smelled like cigarettes. Tried to get our money back from the rude desk person and he wasn't having it. We ended up leaving anyways and finding something else. This place reminded me of a nasty crackhole. This is why they get full payment up front, so they get paid before you see the rooms.
