Do not go to Dave & Busters for pool - not a customer friendly experience. They have no way to consolidate pool table rental and food/drink order on same tab which causes quite a bit of headache.
A customer is required to leave ID with service for pool table. There is not waiter/waitress for pool table area. What this leads to is every time you need a drink, you need to wait in line and ask to borrow your ID so that you can go place an order at the bar and then return your ID thereafter.
Ultimately, you then finish your stay by closing out across two separate bars/host stands (where you ordered food/drink and where you placed pool reservation).
Additionally, the “stack of cheese sticks” is 5 cheese sticks. I can’t believe they market it as a stack that the customer must be weary of tipping over based on their “cheese stick selection”. The plate was ~$10 so that’s about $2 per string cheese.
Overall, I think I’m done giving this D&B a chance. Weak food and beverage selection/execution and weaker service.
Recommend passing and going to one of the many other establishments in Spectrum Center.
We're regulars at Irvine and Orange locations, and this was the worst experience I've ever had at any Dave and Busters! We played a few games and decided to order food. As you can see in the pictures, the place was almost empty, so it's amazing that we would have any problems ordering or getting our food, but we did. After waiting at our table for 10 minutes or so, my husband asked the bartender if we could order from him and he said he'd get someone to help us. So we waited. First the server just ignored us while chatting away with one of the bartenders. When she finally came to our table, she didn't really greet us or say anything about us waiting so long when the whole place was a ghost town and she was far from friendly. We ordered the double pepperoni flatbread and when it came, the pepperoni was dried out and crunchy - in a bad way, like it was put in the microwave too long and kind of petrified. To top it off it was soggy and greasy on the bottom. She never came back to check on us at all, so my husband had to ask the bartender for help again. The manager, Pedro, came to our table and said he would have it remade. The second one was even worse! It looked and tasted charred. I tried a little piece and couldn't get the acrid taste out of my mouth. Pedro came back to see if we got our food. I showed him the flatbread and he didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with it. I was stunned, and as a personal chef, offended that they were fine with serving that to customers. Frustrated and not feeling like trying to explain the obvious, I just let it go. My appetite was already ruined (along with my mood). They really didn't seem to care and neither Pedro nor our server came back to our table, but they spent quite a bit of time talking behind a machine (so weird). The amazing thing is how absolutely empty the place was and they couldn't manage to make a decent flatbread or provide excellent customer service that they talk about all over the website. Mediocre at best. I think we'll make the extra drive to Orange from now on.
