I bought the Sumatran Rendang and the Mango Cheesecake. My dinner looked like a dessert, the food is too sweet and also, the rice was not fresh, it was hard, dry and tasted different (not fresh). When I was placing my order at the store, I asked if the Cheesecake was "home made" and they told me yes, so I assumed that the price of $8 was fair, my surprise was to see that clearly the Cheesecake is not "home made", it tastes like the Cheesecake you buy at Safeway or any store, they just added a mango sauce that was very tasty. In short regarding the dessert, only the sauce that covers the Cheesecake is "home made", and the slice is too small. I think that the price for the quality of the food is not worth it.
My wife and here drove over an hour to go on a date night here and boy was it worth it. Hands down the best Asian food we’ve had in the Spokane area (having moved from Seattle we were so happy to find amazing, authentic Asian dishes here).
We had the pork spring rolls and the Sumatran beef rendang. When the owner heard about our long drive she also sent us bao buns on the house (which were incredible).
The food was out of this world and the hostess and owner were both so nice. 100% will be back and would recommend to anyone in the area!
We love this place. We make a point to eat there at least once a month because we like the owner and her food so much.
Literally, every dish is incredible, but the fried rice with the pork chop... heaven... absolute heaven. It's not overloaded with "stuff," but it's perfect every time.
Her ice tea is always delicious. Desserts are small but very tasty.
It always smells incredible, and I've watched her remember very specific details about practically any repeat customers that walk in.
It's very much worth the drive to airway heights. We usually get it packed to go because we live 1.5 hrs south, and I really want to go home at the end of the day... we call in our orders, and they are always ready and packed neatly in about 25 minutes. And still crispy and delicious when we get home.
The very first time we walked in there, like 2 years ago, the server said "hi welcome to dbali, your new obsession." She called it!
