Doctor is fine but staff/policy is stubborn and pedantic. They won’t allow you take contacts home unless you can put/remove them on your own. The problem is that it takes me 45mins to put one in and another 30mins to remove it. Which is very difficult to do in a one hour session. I tried 3 sessions with them but there is absolutely ZERO progress. And there’s little that they do to help you. Basically they just sit there and do their own computer work and tell you to “be brave and stop blinking”. If this is the case I would rather practice at home so I can just take my time and do it at my own pace (my GF wear contacts and can remove it for me anyway). But no they won’t allow me to do that no matter how I explain that their way doesn’t work for me. I asked a few friends about this and this forcing you to practice with them is NOT the standard practice.
Definitely would NOT recommend to anyone new to contacts.
Side note: this is not a plus or minus. But their COVID policy is that only the patient can get in. So if you want your loved ones to help you pick eyeglasses frames, this is not a place for you.
Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance. I take time off of work and arrive on time for my appointment. They say they don't have me on the calendar. Turns out they (or the computer they tell me) cancelled my appointment without telling me. They offered no accommodations to rectify their mistake other than a reschedule to a time I cannot make (wrong time/another two weeks away) and their apologies.
So not only did I waste an hour of work, I wasted two weeks waiting for this appointment and an unknown time more to find another optometrist and taking off time for them. Now, I'm sure this isn't SOP, and people get fine service here generally. I just didn't. Well at least they said sorry +1 star.
