Kinda trashy but an excuse to climb some rocks. I enjoyed the off the road vendors that are set up across the road.

Such fond memories of Deadman's Point. Growing up, just a kid, 30+ years ago, we'd always stop here on the way to Big Bear. We'd usually pick up lunch in town, and then eat it here. I remember always being so excited to go explore and play on the rocks. It's been at least 25 years since being here last. I don't know why, but I started thinking about it today. It's crazy the kind of impact a pile of rocks can have on a kid. I sure miss those days.

I used to sell Chicago Hot Dogs at that corner about 20 years ago. I look back at how dangerous selling hot dogs in the middle of nowhere. Five miles from desert meth labs. I heard this place was named after a miner who came out of the hills looking for water. He went crazy digging a deep whole, never finding water. At dusk you can hear coyotes yip and howl. Large packs with a mountain lion here and there. It gets around 100* plus average in the summer and cold in the winter! 2004 we had a big snow that stuck for 3-4 days a foot and half deep. It's a beautiful area with the Indian River 150' underground? It used to be.
