I had a cavity filled last night (perhaps the first red flag? A dentist open late into the evening?) and the whole time, he was training the lady assisting him- that’s fine, I understand needing to train folks, but it was a little awkward with the way in which he was speaking to her… very cross and condescending. When he came in, he shouting orders- ‘put her bib on, do this, do that,’ he very clearly agitated, and only spoke to me when asking if I was numb yet. While he’s working in my mouth, he’s yelling across the room to another person (not the trainee) about bringing the next patient in…? That person responds “her appointment isn’t until 5:30. It’s only 5:27.” I only arrived at 5:05… he’s going so extremely fast, while continually semi-degrading the extremely kind assistant. He even went so far as to mention the “organization” that sent her (????) When he was done, he just stood up and left the room. Everyone else there is very nice, warm and welcoming… but every interaction with the doctor (if you can even call it that. I’m more just… a warm body that he’s trying to rush out the door) is VERY strange, no eye contact, doesn’t speak to the patient. Very much wishing I would’ve just walked out upon hearing him enter the room, but again, he was very much rushing to get this done over with and the next warm body in the chair, AT 5:30 AND 6PM…
I won’t be going back. There’s definitely something majorly odd and wrong about this place. And now I’m very concerned about my tooth. . .
