Air quality in the building is bad. You can see vents very dirty. I still say more workers are needed to speed up wait time. More help with the paperwork they deal with is needed. Workers that Ive dealt with were good.

I have been receiving food benefits for a large portion of my adulthood and through these years a few things have become very apparent with the employees of DSHS, the main fact is they are racist and profiling towards anyone who isn't Hispanic, I have seen dozens of people come in for the same thing and all the white people have to wait for hours, multiple times I've been stuck there open to close waiting, because they pick and choose from those who sign in and they do the same thing on the phone, picking from last names and making the more "white" names wait significantly longer

I asked if they had called my name, they said no and that I would be seen shortly. Hours went by, and I asked what the waiting time would be. They said they called my name at a time prior to when I had asked about my name being called as stated prior. I couldn't be seen today as a result. The employees were polite but they couldn't fit me in anywhere and didn't seem to pick up on the fact that if my name was called, why was I told it wasn't called and that I would be seen shortly which resulted in an extra 2 hours of waiting.
Mistakes happen, but training should be conducted. If I were told that my name had been called and I missed my chance I could have just re-entered my information and waited so that I could be seen today. Now I need to come in another day. They said that my name was on the list at a time later than it was taken off the list. How does that work?
