Finally a good and beautiful bookshop where book selection is obviously done by someone who loves books. Small but so far the best independent bookshop I have visited in L.A. Haven't bought anything but I'll be back guys. Keep up the good work!!!

Terrible experience with a deranged older saleswoman. Stopped in a few days back with a friend, browsing for a book by Jordan Peterson (Canadian psychologist), recommended to me by some colleagues. A young man pointed me to the right direction while a certain older white saleswoman began visibly seething over the request. To our surprise, she began telling our associate that she was incapable of understanding how someone could read a book by Dr. Peterson. She continued to rant about her wishing him to burn in hell and the like, suggesting the same to us. Terrible experience from a sadly triggered older saleswoman. I’d encourage some additional training or a career in politics (she seethes and runs through labels like a printing machine). We were shocked at her rants echoing through the store, and left the store promptly to avoid further escalation. For a bookstore selling books on all subjects and backgrounds, the staff present are too entitled and ill-trained for the expectations of the community.

Great selection. I was there for an event and they made the place so comfy for the audience. The market is a beautiful place to visit and you can read a book in their sweet outdoor patio.
