My father went to ED several times, uncomfortable by it. Some of the feeling caused by his illness and some by the lack of attention from staff. They were convinced nothing was really wrong with him that he was just old. He was bedridden and not eating or drinking properly every time he went in, how could you just tell me that he could just get up and walk, that he was fine? You then placed him over night in a room with others patients who I was told had "psychological" issues, so I could not even see my father or bring him items. In a pathetic attempt to "treat" him I was told to let him go to physical therapy in Stockton. I was desperate and didn't know any better. I was afraid, watching the once strong man I knew weaken in front of me. What else could I have done? When they obviously could not treat him they dumped him back at the house and that night he went back to this ED. He was scared, tired, and confused; I saw, heard, nurses and other staff raise their voice at him when his body naturally reflexed away from needles. He was afraid of you, but he did you no harm, so why were you rough with a dying man? A doctor finally diagnosed him with cancer and my dad refused biopsy I think because we all knew he was going to go soon anyways biopsy or not. You could just see it. He died some weeks after being discharged. I know you could not have treated his cancer and miraculously make him live 10 more years, but you could've at the very least gave him the so called "dignity" you promised in your title. Never in my 20 years of life have I hated an establishment so much. I hate that I have to come here if I am sick and remember everything all over again. I hate you.

A horrible experience. Waited about 8 hrs to be seen by doctor. Didn't know it was only hospital in county and has a contract with all the prisons. Hallways were lined with prisoners and guards. Waiting room was crowded and not very clean. On the plus side, medical and administrative staff professional and courteous. But when at the 4 hour mark I told them I wanted to leave just send xrays to my doctor. They said they could not do that. Probably means they would not get paid by my insurance. Then I worried I would get stuck with bill. So I waited and waited. Awful place. Avoid if at all possible.
