There are no words to describe the change we have seen with our dog Dante. If my husband and I were not there every training session I would NOT believe he's the same dog. I would have thought "Carmel switched our dog!" lol Dante is a 110 pounds and would go NUTS when he saw other dogs. Just a heads up, Carmel might be the best trainer ever, but if you don't put in the work yourself, your dog will not change. Till this day we still train Dante at least 5 days a week to keep it consistent with his anxiety. I couldn't even go hiking with Dante before. He is now living his best life :)

I HIGHLY recommend Carmel for anyone needing help with their dogs! Carmel’s knowledge, compassion and gentle attitude are a perfect combination! Carmel began working with us on our Yorkie Puppy! We are thrilled with her progress! If I have any questions or issues that arise, he is always available! Carmel is certainly amazing at Dog training!

I could not recommend Carmel enough. We met with him to explore private training for our reactive German Shepherd, but once I met him and saw the Dog Tired facility I knew board and train was the right option for us. He took the time to share his philosophy on how dogs think and observed how we are with our dog so he can give constructive feedback. He approached the consultation with the heart of a teacher and we learned so much just in that one meeting. Our 2-year old Shepherd, Zeus, is high energy and very dog reactive. We raised him from a pup and tried many different training methods and tools, but after 2 years it was still so much effort to take him on a normal walk. He pulled on leash, even with a prong collar, was reactive to dogs 60 feet away, and we could not get him to listen if there was any distraction at all. We got him right before the COVID lockdowns and live in a small coastal town where there is not a lot of consistency in dog exposure or distractions, so it's been very difficult to reduce his reactivity just by normal daily exposure alone. After 3 weeks at the board and train, Zeus is still the same dog, but learned leash respect and how to control (somewhat) his impulses. He's still intense and requires a lot of work, but we can do a full walk around town without any embarrassing incidents and our quality of life is greatly improved and getting better as we continue our work with him. Carmel is probably one of the best dog trainers I've met in Northern California. If you're struggling with a difficult dog, this is your trainer.
