This is only the second review I have left in the past ten years. We held a birthday party for our child with this company, and I have to say it was a terrible experience.
Their communication skills were surprisingly poor, and they showed a lack of respect for their customers. I wanted to share the entire email thread here, but long story short, just one hour before the party was set to start, a "miscommunication" was discovered. The company told me that if I didn't comply with their demands, they would cancel the party and issue a refund. This was shocking, especially since my child was excited about their birthday party, and guests were already on their way to San Francisco, having rearranged their busy schedules to attend. I truly wanted to ask, if it's a party for someone you care about, can you just simply say something like that one hour before the activity started?
I chose not to argue to avoid ruining my child's birthday further, but the whole experience was already ruined. Before the "miscommunication" was found, we tried hard to meet their requirements, such as adjusting the number of guests despite a sudden change in our list. To make matters worse, the staff tried to end the activity 25 minutes early. It was only after one of our party members spoke up that the kids were allowed an additional 10 minutes in the water. The extra board games and other activities they promised were not on the beach until we asked them to bring them.
Overall, this company's poor communication and lack of customer respect ruined what should have been a joyful celebration.
