I Absolutely LOVE this store and I Had given it 5 stars before, but today I went in, like I do Every Single Time I go in there,(for the past 5 and 1/2 years) I have an Emotional Support Animal that is a parrot that is Extremely well-behaved, and the manager yelled VERY Loudly and Rudely, " You CAN'T have THAT in here!" But was not looking at me, so I stood there, and she then called for an employee and yelled at the employee saying, "Tell her she can't be in here with THAT!" And Still would NOT look at me! As she was yelling that to the employee that was standing Right Next to her, a girlfriend of mine walked through the door and was standing with me when the employee walked over and apologized because I have seen her almost every time I go in there (At Least twice a week!) And she has seen my bird and I, then proceeded to tell me what the manager was yelling. I told her that it was not Her fault and that I was going to the other Dollar General. My girlfriend had made a remark about how calm I was and that she'd Never be back to that one specific store and asked me why I did not show the manager my bird's paperwork stating he is In Fact a n Emotional Support Animal. I told her that I was not going to even worry about showing her since she was SO extremely rude to me, and we both walked out. We have multiple Dollar General's around town but that one inpaticular was my favorite and I WILL continue going there with my parrot and if she says something so ignorantly again, I will show her the paperwork and call her district manager while I am inside that store. This one was the Route 51 store in Uniontown that I am speaking of. I do not know her name but she has grayish hair and glasses and I will be SURE to get it while I am on the phone with her higher up, next time! She had just lost $217.00 in sales for her store today!

The Hopwood Pennsylvania Dollar General is the cleanest Dollar General I have seen around my area in a good while! I was so surprised I had to tell the clerk & store manager. I've been going into these stores around my area looking for something and haven't been able to find it on the shelves but there are boxes every where in every aisle. I wouldn't of began to know where to look in those boxes & it wasn't my responsibility to. Keep up the great work Hopwood Dollar General!!
