Yesterday 6/28/2021 at approximately 1:30 pm my husband went to Lowe’s and dropped me off to do some shopping for my 84 year old mother. I looked for puzzles and cards. Arms full I could not find regular envelopes to send to her. I asked an employee at the front of the store where I could find mailing envelopes. The employee said down aisle 7. I then asked left or right as I had already looked previously. She then stated across from where you picked up those books, I said I had looked but didn’t find any. She said if we have them they will be there offering no assistance. When I returned to the front to check out I observed a handicapped individual at the checkout where the same individual was stocking. Rudely she told the woman that she needed to go to the check stand immediately to her left. I was behind someone who had an entire shopping cart loaded. While waiting I noticed many shoppers accumulating down the aisle and I asked for another cashier to help. The same individual commented there isn’t another one available and there wasn’t a line. She could not see where she was standing. I asked another employee if she could help out. She replied no I’m not a cashier. So I asked the rude individual if she was a cashier and if she could help. Her reply? No. I then relayed to her that I was a google tour guide and wanted to know her name. It was Tammy. I asked for a manager and she said I’m one of two managers. I told her that I would be writing a review of her behavior. When the person in front of me was finally done with her purchases 8 minutes later, I apologized to Angelica hoping I didn’t cause her any discomfort in my statements. She assured me that all was Ok. I then told her I would be mentioning her willingness to accommodate us. This was by far the most unpleasant shopping experience I’ve had in my 60 years. Tammy you are not forced to work at Dollar Tree or any retail business. it is your choice, and having an abundance of retail experience myself you should know better than to behave as you did. I’m hoping the owners of this store read my review.
