I wish I could rate my experience with Domonique as my realtor 10 stars for this review. I had purchased another home in Orange County that was being built and I signed a contingency on that home so time was not on my side to say the least. I sold my home in 14 DAYS during a downturn in the market, and in a very competitive area in Camarillo, and SHE negotiated on my behalf full asking price. I have sold many homes over the years; however, Domonique has some qualities and skills that are so hard to find in a realtor these days: Constant Communication, she was ALWAYS available to take my calls & texts, and if unavailable, she got back with me in 2-4 minutes every single time. Next, Comprehensive Knowledge of the market and How to Attract Buyers, by taking the time to price my house at a profitable, and competitive price on the front end as not to run off buyers at the most crucial time on the market (the beginning when there is the most interest in the “newest listing” out there). However, I put myself & Domonique in a unique/difficult situation, I made the mistake of originally listing my home with a discount realtor that charged minimum fees and 0.5%.... OMG THAT WAS A MISTAKE & NIGHTMARE, you get what you pay for and I learned that first hand, “I thought houses sell themselves, just get it into the MLS and everything will be fine, why do I need a full commission realtor” (and I found out, in the end that was not true)". Houses don’t sell themselves and Domonique worked day and night to get buyers & agents in the door from the minute I called her with my desperate plea for help. I mentioned her knowledge of the market and attracting buyers, well I wasn’t getting them with my previous discount realtor (that I ended up firing after watching every single home in my neighborhood sell in days/weeks while mine sat with no showings, and ultimately paying his commission to get out of my listing agreement so I could list with a real professional like Domonique). Domonique and I spoke on a Sunday, and within a couple of hours she and her Team were at my home accessing the situation. She realized my home was empty and had many positive upgrades, but it needed to be staged to quickly attract buyers, and show off specific portions of the house. Within 72 hours she and her Team staged my home, then took professional photos that in the end looked better than when I lived in it😊, then the following day was in the MLS on all the major sites, and by the weekend finally had agents & buyers touring my home. The following week she had a broker showing and that weekend I had an offer, and Domonique recommended we not take the offer due to the amount of calls/traffic she was getting on the house. This paid off, we had an offer later in the week, and Domonique negotiated that offer back to full asking price. We were to close in 30 days, but through her diligence and constantly moving things along we closed in 24 days. In addition to, she stayed in constant contact with the company that I had a contingency with, and was able to keep my home I am now building. I researched many realtors in Camarillo, and Ventura county and narrowed it down to the Top Sellers… I am so thankful that I made the correct decision to call Domonique Rodriguez when I did, she is truly Professional, Knowledgeable, and a Dedicated Realtor that I highly recommend and would go with again.
