Donner Summit California State Snopark

Site for cross-country skiing, dog sledding & other snow sports in winter, plus hiking in summer.

I just drove by. I think they got 2 feet of snow, and things were shut down. Beautiful place and dangerous. I'm glad I got there when I did. It's just warm enough not driving on ice.

Always a great time with the family! We have gone the last few weeks and it's never too busy and we have a blast. Find a spot further in and make the trip worth your while whether it's sledding, hiking or just enjoying the beautiful scenery!

All around great hike. Came out here during July and there was still snow on the ground. Great scenery and views. I'd say this hike is moderate.
