We just noticed this was in a strip mall we frequent at least once a month...We were curious and looking to grab a quick bite before heading to an event. Walking in, it’s spacious feel with a lot of seating made it welcoming. We walked up to the bar to order as indicated by the sign. The food menu had limited options. We were on a short time schedule and didn’t want to be late so we discussed against pizza and got a few appetizers & a wrap. If your into beer/cider, there are many options. My husband selected Bouncing Betty Boysenberry Fruit Ale for him and a “Peps” for me (I don’t care for beer and will partake in a cider but only a sip from my husbands. We sat down and was only food less for a short time; however, they should have checked to make sure the potato skins were actually cooked because they weren’t (I don’t like to waste food but I couldn’t get more than 1 down)...The pretzel was what you get when going to a movie theater- hot on the outside but not thoroughly heated on the inside (nacho cheese was okay)...my husband had the honey mustard wrap and it was mediocre at best. What was really disappointing was that none of the waitstaff ever checked in with us - only taking the order (& providing over a 20 percent tip) & when they delivered the “unheated” & mediocre food. Maybe it was because we weren’t “drinking” as much as the others in the place were but we are still patrons and will probably never go back. I still recommend giving it a try because one person’s experience isn’t the same as another’s in all times.
Salad was good, no ice for my warm tap water, Pepsi in a can. Asked one employee , after he delivered my food. For a glass of ice ; he told me to go to the bar and ask " one of those guys". Not impressed. The table was slightly dirty. BU T .... Anica, the guitar player / singer was great relief from the so-so food and service at this pub. We kept asking ourselves about what a girl like her is doing in a place like this? No tip for the help but gladly tipped Anica!!
I expected better. The beer was just ok. The Hot Dog was pretty meh. It had a lot of bacon bits with a squirt of mustard over the top. The description was awe inspiring but the food was a let down. The gal behind the bar was friendly and helpful to the best of her ability. She didn't know much about beer but she was pleasant none the less. We enjoyed the hangout for a one off. Probably won't return.
Forgot to mention, the bun that the hot dog was on was crunchy and unpleasant to eat. I feel like it could have been so much better!
