What a gem!! This is a beautiful location right on the North Fork Nooksack River. We came without a reservation and had fingers crossed. The host, Ron, was accommodating and had a perfect spot. He was super helpful and pointed out the spot which would be most level for our truck camper. Our spot had a rocky trail down to the river and we even saw a few chinook swimming upstream. The vault toilets were exceptionally clean and had hand sanitizer, air freshener, plenty of toilet paper and even some walk art for ambiance. Lol, the finest vault toilets we’ve ever used! There were recycling and trash bins nearby too. The river rushing by our camp was the very best sound machine for sleeping. Wood is also available for $10. Spot was $30. We’ll definitely be back!

Great campground in an excellent part of the state. Ron is a great host! Keeps the place clean and neat especially the washrooms! Can’t recommend enough, the river noise blocks the sound of other campers and the breeze keeps the bugs away! Proximity to Mt Baker makes it a must visit!

I had a super time at Douglas fir Park, Ron is the best host, he is very accommodating and does his best to make everybody feel comfortable and goes out of his way to help any way he can. He maintains the park and the bathrooms, cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen in an national Park, the park is rustic and only a accommodating for small vehicles or tents, it's a beautiful area if you like being rustic,
