I had to, writing, assert my right under California Health & Safety Code section 123100 et seq. in order to get a copy of my own records from this practice. Ms. Medvene was refusing to release it to me, until i researched my medical/legal rights and strongly asserted them. Medvene was not a pleasant person to deal with during this ordeal. unfortunately she was the only one "in network" within reasonable commuting distance. also, her practice charged me for a test that was covered under insurance, i had to provide the insurance documentation that shows the test was paid for (by insurance), in order to get my money back. would not recommend. but hey, there were some limited snacks and water in the waiting area!
