Worse experience ever.
The doctor Stephanie Hatfield was not polite on her feedback about my issue/condition on having kids. She pretty much told me to lose weight and that might help with my pregnancy issues - She told me to lose at least 20 lbs (164 lbs ... 5.7 ... with anemia) I explain to her I can't be 135/140 as she suggested but she keeps pushing it. Weight its not an issue to me but I couldn't help and think on those women who have issues with it and depression. Not a good idea to call somebody fat when they're struggling on having kids.
She suggested some tests which I agreed thinking they will call the insurance to see if it was covered. The blood test she requested wasn't cover so I ended with a $1,200 bill - When my insurance called to asked them to fix the request, the office person (Toni) told the insurance Rep they didn't do anything wrong, so the couldn't fix the bill.
Same doctor suggested to do a genetic test, which will determinate if I will have cancer in the future. Before I agreed to do the test, I asked if my insurance cover it and the person that called me said: it's covered that's why we're calling you.
I did the test and last week I got a letter from my insurance saying they don't cover that kind of test. My insurance confirm that on the phone and also said they don't have any records on the medical office calling to check on this.
The doctors office called me and left a voice mail saying it was a misunderstanding and it's nothing they can do about it. I should call the insurance and deal with them directly.
It seems nobody over there has any idea how to do their job ... I saw bad reviews but it was close and I thought I couldn't be that bad. I was wrong... and I ended with big bills.
Be aware if you go there ... I have no idea if all the doctors are this bad but for sure, the staff working there have no idea how to conduct the business. Make sure before you go or agree on anything, contact your insurance and make sure you're covered.
