Dr. Patillo is a friendly doctor. He is a good pediatrician and I believe he knows his limits and will involve specialists when needed. Dr. Patillo like most doctors in the Tri-Cities area over use Nurse Practitioners for patients they are familiar with. These Nurse Practitioners are less likely to refer one to a specialist or recognize when they don't understand what is happening. I and my family have been Dr. Patillo's patients for many years and we don't plan to leave. Previous to Dr. Patillo we were with internists who were probably more knowlegable, but who relied on Nurse Practitioners at critical stages when they should have taken notice sooner. I believe that if a patient were having continuing issues Dr. Patillo would step in earlier and work directly with the patient and Nurse Practitioner .... at least that is what I hope.

Terrible experience with this doctor and his staff. I had an urgent medical question and his nurse/medical assistant has failed to response for 4 business days. Appalling.

My kids has been going to Dr. Patillo for 11 years and he's always been kind & assuring. Highly recommend this pediatrician.
