THIS place is absolutely TERRIBLE. Let me just list all the ways. I wish you could give no stars or negative stars. I have never been so upset with a doctor or felt the need to write a yelp review. It's really the only consolation i have.
-SLOW. You go to wait for a long time. Even if you are on time or early you wait. granted tons of doc offices are like this. But it's still ridiculous and it shouldn't be that way. What's worse is you can't really understand what the hold up is. You get there early, on time, or late....still waiting forever.
-Return phone calls?! HAHA okay they never do that. They also have an online email inquiry.. they dont' return that either or it doesnt work. I left message after message and it was 2 months before it ever got taken care of.
-RUDE. The front desk staff is rude. Now, I like to be clear in all my reviews. I'm talking about whoever is taking your info at the front counter. That person is the first person you will see when you come in. That person is typically very rude. If they aren't rude they have an attitude or just don't really acknowledge you. There is a woman in the back who schedules you and she was always very nice to me.
Now let's talk about my personal experience with them. I found out I was pregnant! YAY! But let me also say that Dr. J Thanos told me I couldn't have babies without some hormone therapy. SO it was also a serious shock. If you have ever known or are a first time mom you get what i'm saying. Being pregnant is different and totally unchartered territory. With that said I became worried and had questions about possibilities of ectopic pregnancies since mine was a surprise. In all my years I felt that there was something possibly wrong with my reproductive system and now BOOM a baby?! So I talked to a nurse (they couldn't schedule me for an appointment for like 3 weeks). The nurse talked to me, answered some questions but I could tell she was a little confused as to why i was asking. (fearful mom, surprise pregnancy, fear of ectopic and miscarriage due to my medical history) She wasn't rude or anything. THEN I go into the office.....
The medical assistant takes my bp and gets me set in the room. I sit down and she turns to leave, does a double take and says, "UM WAIT ARE YOU... ARE you terminating this pregnancy?" I look at her stunned at such a forward, rude, confidential question that kinda came out of nowhere and awkwardly at that. I say no with confusion. She senses that awkward and says, "Oh, OH, um, okay i'm sorry I mean, they... they just told me..." I am getting angry now and say WHO TOLD YOU? She is so ruffled now. She replies with they were talking and they spun it, the nurse made it sound like.. they made it sound like you were. STUTTER STUTTER STUTTER.
Basically the office was talking about me?! Was this why they were rude? NO they are rude all the time. But they were EXTRA rude that day. All on what grounds? I don't know. it felt like they talked about me, the girl who was terminating her blessing of a pregnancy because she was told she couldn't have kids. GASP! Correct me if i'm wrong but, really? isn't that confidential? not to mention I never told anyone nor was I going to terminate anything. What I am terminating is my business with them.
GO HERE if you like all you are reading. Check out the yelp for the doctor Jerald Thanos and his office. Otherwise you will not be sad you didn't meet this office.
