I’ve known my daughter her whole life, but I met her for the first time this past Wednesday, thanks to Dr. Zaghi & The Breathe Institute.
Leighton had both a severe lip and tongue tie that not only inhibited her speech, but inhibited her from achieving expected developmental milestones. Fast-forward to forty-eight hours post-procedure and it was absolutely clear this had been a life-altering stitch-uation!
Newly lingually liberated, our girl seems to have developed a sudden affinity for oral expression- she's an entirely different tot. Songs are being spontaneously sung proudly in full. Oscillating between ABC’s, nursery rhymes and Dua Lipa, it’s as if our daughter had acquired a sense of conversational confidence overnight.
In addition to our daughter’s newfound enthusiasm for expressing herself via a more vocal variety, she’s also enjoying her new subscription to extended R.E.M. cycles- for the very first time, EVER. #spoileralert-, her ability to rest and recharge has proven to be an absolute behavioral game-changer.
Dr. Zaghi and The Breathe Institute have been instrumental in providing our daughter and our family with resources and support throughout this entire experience. It is undoubtedly due to Dr. Zaghi and The Breathe Institute’s practices, expertise and ongoing care that we are currently witnessing such vast improvement. Our family cannot wait to watch as she continues to expand her verbal skillset, grow and ultimately thrive!!!!
