Pre-covid, was decent. Not amazing but decent. Post-covid has been horrendous. Dr Shlafer pushed the COVID vaccine to the point where the services diminished if you didn’t agree to it.
We have been going there since our children were 3 and 1 (10 and 8 now). Recently, our son was having stomach issues with pain, nausea and getting dizzy. We were scheduled for a blood test and were told, it’s behind the Fred Meyer. There are two Fred Meyers near the office and the my wife chose the wrong one. We clarified the address. It missed the appointment for the blood draw and had to come back the next morning.
We were told that we would get a phone call the following Thursday and didn’t get one. My wife called the next week after no call and was told that the blood test results were in and Dr Shlafer would call back that day and we didn’t get a call. I called today and was told we would get a call back. I’m explained that this was the third time being told this. After being on hold, a nurse came on the line and said that the blood tests were normal and asked if there was anything else I needed.
There wasn’t any concern about any other options to assist my son who is still having the stomach issues. There wasn’t a plan to see if there was anything else that could be looked at. The results were “normal” and that was it.
At that point, I didn’t push anything as it seemed they just didn’t care. We are moving on to an office that will show more interest in long term patients and not rotate us in and out to collect from our insurance.
