This doctor is the most dishonest doctor I have ever visited. Be very cautious if you decide to use him as your primary care doctor. I went in for a routine visit, told him I was only there for a routine/preventative care visit (because my insurance as a really high deductible for non preventative services), and ended up being billed for a bunch of labs! Dr. Chambers asked about my medical history and I told him that I had a chronic illness that was being managed by a specialist. Dr. Chambers wrote that condition in my chart as if I were there to see him for that reason. It turns out, he coded all of my labs with my condition instead of coding them routine. All of the labs I had done were routine (I have had them in the past so I know what routine labs are). I contacted him and all he would say was that because I have a history of a chronic illness, all my labs needed to be coded that way. I told him I wasn't there for my illness, I was only there for a routine visit. He told me that he doesn't order routine labs for my age range. I'm in my mid 30's and every 5 years I have always had routine lab work done. Well, why in the heck would he order labs that were not routine and on top of that, not inform me??? He never responded after that, and I'm now stuck having to appeal this.

Our parents came to live with us a little over a year ago, and we were able to arrange for Dr. Chambers to be their primary care provider. He was very gentle, caring, and attentive to them, and they think very highly of him. He is a very good fit for these two, who are 91, and almost 90. Thanks so much for your expertise, Dr. Chambers, and the kindness and thoughtful listening you had with my parents! Sharon Shelton
