I’m a resident here, and I would give this place minus 10 stars if I could. It’s true that they don’t treat their employees well. Given what they’re paid by the government for “caregiving”, they could give their employees much higher salaries and excellent benefits. The main owner describes this as a business, and that is exactly the way that she sees it. Her younger sis is her co-owner, and she served in the military. I have nothing but the highest regard for our military, but there are military members that are serving or have served for reasons other than love of country and the desire to protect our freedoms. It’s my firsthand observation that they don’t care for freedom of speech, or religion. They’re prejudiced, biased, and they discriminate. They lack compassion and empathy. Employees curry favor by engaging in malicious gossip. This place thrives on drama. The people employed here are poorly trained and ill-mannered. I’ve been told that the grandfather of the current owners was a good man that truly cared about those with disabilities and started DWR for the right reasons; the current owners are anything but good and view this establishment as nothing but a lucrative business.
