I am not a customer of this "company," but I have a mouthful to say about their unprofessionalism.
For the past few years, this company has been taking care of the tree trimming of the old woman who lives in back of us. She has a large pine tree, and I do give her credit for taking care of that tree, and of her jungle-of-a-backyard. However, the people from this company have no communication skills whatsoever when it comes to us, the neighbors on the receiving end of their massive clippings.
Each and every time they have shown up to do their work, they NEVER inform us. We have told them several times to let us know before they begin their work, but they NEVER follow through with this simple request, which by the way, is also known as either COMMON SENSE or COURTESY. I guess it's true that society lacks these two traits nowadays. It is CRUCIAL that we be informed so that we can move the dog out of the backyard, because not only does he become frightened by the loud noises of the gardening equipment, but more importantly, if he happens to bite one of the workers, we could end up in a major lawsuit. And, the dog would end up being put to sleep.
My wife had also spoken a few times to Brenda, the main receptionist, about this situation. She comes off as being rude and uncaring about our concern. I guess it's all about the "bottom line" in regards to how much business they can muster up, at the expense of common courtesy amongst their customer's neighbors.
This morning, the workers entered our backyard to clean up without first knocking on our front door to inform us. The dog was tethered in the front yard in order to get him away from all the activity in the back, and the workers told us they couldn't get to our front door because of him. However, the point is that THEY SHOULD HAVE INFORMED US BEFORE THEY BEGAN THEIR WORK! A PROFESSIONAL company makes sure that this is taken care of prior to beginning their labor, not after the fact. If they think that "spontaneity" is acceptable, in the PROFESSIONAL world, it is NOT! Period! End of story! And by the way, the front yard is the only place where the dog can be, because our garage has many items that he could either damage or choke on.
On a positive note, the workers did do a very thorough job of cleaning up -- for that, this company gets one star added back to my original zero-star rating.
Professionalism is one trait that I take seriously in people, and it irritates the HELL out of my wife and I when supposed "professional" people don't know how to properly take care of business. Unfortunately, this "company" is one of these. I wish them the best of luck in improving their customer service, because based on what we have observed over the past few years, they have A LOT to learn.
