I was looking for someone locally who would do a little work on a rifle of mine. Another business where I purchased the accessory will do the work for $65, but I would have to ship the rifle out to them. Duncan’s said they would do the work for $80. I decided to go with Duncan’s.
The problem begins with pickup. The price went up to $125; almost doubling the price the other company charges. Not the end of the world, but the condition of the rifle was extremely disappointing.
The barrel had gouging marks from what looked like a vice. There were a couple other scratches in the receiver. This was incredibly unsatisfactory, especially for a gunsmith business. I wouldn’t expect to take my truck into get worked on and pick it up with extra scratches in the body.
I didn’t take photos yet, but if I can add them later by editing this post I will upload them.
😒 my overall experience with the shop was less than desirable.
