I contacted them through a listing on zillow and emailed them. We applied for a house, and paid $80 in application fees. On the application, we requested a copy of our background check. We never received a copy of our background checks, which means they never even ran them. I never got a response on anything. No emails from them letting us know they rented the house to someone else (I found that out by seeing that the listing we applied for was removed from zillow and their website), no email back to answer any of my initial questions, nothing. We paid $80 for absolutely nothing. Luckily, we were treated much better by the people who work at NextHome South Sound in DuPont. They were responsive, processed our applications, we received copies of our background checks, and they kept us updated through the whole process. I contacted DuPont Realty last Spring when I was looking for a house to rent. I spoke with Penelope Lacy and she spent a lot of time with me on the phone going through my needs and wants. I met with Bob and viewed 3 houses and found the one I wanted. In the unfortunate state of our world today, I found the entire staff to be friendly, positive and energetic. The office was more than equipped with protective gear (sanitizer, masks, gloves etc.) when I went there for my lease signing. As with other homes my husband and I have rented (we have rented several), I have had a couple of maintenance issues. The first was with one of the toilets. I had to reschedule at the last minute and this delayed the fix another 2 days. My 2nd issue was with the garage door and this was repaired within 24 hours. I had no complaints about the companies that were contacted to fix. My personal experience with this office has been professional and attentive. I would recommend DuPont Realty to anyone considering a home to purchase, sell or rent. I will be contacting Pene to help me purchase a home in the near future when my husband arrives to Washington.
