East Olympia Fire District 6’s Headquarters Station 1 (Station 6-1). East Olympia Fire District was formed in 1953 and currently covers approximately 30 square miles, operating out of 4 Fire Stations, 6-1 in East Olympia, 6-2 at Offut Lake 6-4 along Old Highway 99, and 6-5 at Sunwood Lake. Station 6-3 is currently closed.

I'm not sure this department still does this, but if you are 18 or younger, you can walk in and get a free bicycle helmet. I barely made the cut because I found out about this at the last minute, but thankfully, I got mine just before I turned 19. Again, I am not sure this is still going on because I am currently 22, and I got my helmet when I was still 18 but almost 19, so about 3 years ago but I figured I should mention this to anyone who is still 18 or younger. Get your free helmet!
